“Isn’t that special," “Ve just want to pump…you up," and “Schwing” through his iconic "Saturday Night Live" characters: The Church Lady, Hans and Garth of Wayne’s World, are just a sampling of his classic TV and movie lines.
Carvey's hilarious impressions of political figures and celebrities are legendary, but have you caught his stand-up act?

Carvey joined the cast of “Saturday Night Live” in 1986, creating indelible characters who resonated with the times and revived the show’s then-dwindling popularity.
His uncanny impressions of famous politicians and celebrities such as Tom Brokaw, Regis Philbin, Johnny Carson, Bob Dole, Ross Perot and, most memorably, President George H. W. Bush impressed even the originals.
Carvey's short lived variety series in 1996, titled “The Dana Carvey Show” spawned the careers of Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, Louis C.K., Charlie Kaufman and more, as well as a recent Hulu documentary by Josh Greenbaum, "Too Funny To Fail, The Life & Death of 'The Dana Carvey Show.'” Many of the bits are now trending on YouTube.
Carvey's sons, Dex, who is 27, and Tom, 25, were born while their father was filming Wayne’s World and Wayne’s World II, respectively. They were raised away from the spotlight of Hollywood, but were drawn to the entertainment business nonetheless, following in their dad’s footsteps.
The Ridgefield Playhouse is a non-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street in Ridgefield.
